As digital investment platforms continue to reshape Nigeria’s capital market, Zedcrest Wealth App is positioning itself as more than just another stock trading platform by combining equities with a broad suite of investment products in a single digital ecosystem.
Unlike conventional trading applications that focus primarily on buying and selling shares, the platform offers users access to multiple asset classes including stocks listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), money market funds, treasury bills, mutual funds, commercial papers, corporate investments, and other fixed-income securities through one mobile application.
The integrated approach is designed to eliminate the need for investors to switch between different platforms to manage their portfolios, providing a seamless wealth management experience for retail and institutional investors alike.
Stock trading on the app is powered by Zedcrest Securities, the stockbroking arm of the Zedcrest Group and a licensed Trading License Holder of the Nigerian Exchange. The integration leverages the Group’s expertise across asset management, securities trading, investment banking, consumer finance, and global markets to deliver institutional-grade execution through a user-friendly digital interface.
According to Renah Osiemi, Managing Director of Asset Management at Zedcrest, the addition of equities significantly broadens the investment opportunities available to users while reinforcing the company’s objective of providing comprehensive wealth-building solutions.
She noted that by working closely with Zedcrest Securities, clients can diversify their portfolios across different asset classes within a single ecosystem, enabling more informed investment decisions and long-term wealth creation.
Also speaking on the platform’s capabilities, Simbiat Bada, Managing Director of Zedcrest Securities, said the initiative demonstrates the strength of the Group’s integrated business model. She explained that combining the firm’s stockbroking expertise with the digital infrastructure of the Zedcrest Wealth App lowers barriers to participation in Nigeria’s equities market while maintaining high standards of execution and governance.
The stock trading feature builds on Zedcrest Group’s 2024 acquisition of RMB Nigeria Stockbrokers Limited, which was subsequently rebranded as Zedcrest Securities. The acquisition strengthened the Group’s presence in Nigeria’s capital market and laid the foundation for expanding digital investment services.
To encourage participation, Zedcrest introduced the feature under the campaign theme, “Take Your Position,” a message aimed at inspiring investors to move beyond observing market opportunities to actively participating in long-term wealth creation.
As part of the launch, new users executing trades through the platform are also entitled to a three-month brokerage fee waiver, reducing the cost of entering the equities market.
With growing investor interest in digital wealth management solutions, the Zedcrest Wealth App is seeking to distinguish itself by offering a unified investment experience that combines accessibility, portfolio diversification, and professional market execution within a single platform.
