Aradel Holdings Plc has marked more than three decades of operations with a renewed commitment to sustainable growth, shareholder value and strategic expansion, as the indigenous energy company held its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Held virtually on July 30, 2026, the meeting provided shareholders with an update on the company’s financial performance, operational achievements and long-term growth strategy, while reaffirming its commitment to strong corporate governance and accountability. The AGM also celebrated Aradel’s transformation from a modest indigenous operator into one of Nigeria’s leading integrated energy companies.
Transformational Year Driven by Strategic Acquisitions
Addressing shareholders, Chairman Osten Olorunsola described 2025 as a landmark year that significantly strengthened the company’s position in Nigeria’s energy industry.
A major highlight was the acquisition of an additional 40 per cent stake in ND Western Limited, increasing Aradel’s effective interest in Renaissance Africa Energy Company to 53.3 per cent.
According to the company, the transaction substantially expanded its reserves, production capacity and operational footprint, positioning Aradel for sustained growth across Nigeria’s upstream, midstream and downstream energy value chain.
Strong Financial and Operational Performance
Olorunsola said Aradel delivered another year of strong financial and operational performance despite the evolving dynamics of the energy sector.
He attributed the results to improved crude oil production, increased gas commercialisation and continued expansion of the company’s downstream operations, noting that these factors reinforced the resilience of Aradel’s business model.
The chairman also reiterated the company’s focus on maintaining operational excellence while creating long-term value for shareholders.
CEO Reaffirms Commitment to Long-Term Value
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Adegbite Falade described 2025 as a defining period for Aradel, characterised by strong earnings, strategic acquisitions, improved governance and significant achievements in operational safety.
According to Falade, the company’s 31st AGM represents more than a routine corporate meeting—it reflects over three decades of continuous growth and transformation.
He noted that few indigenous Nigerian energy companies have sustained operations for more than 30 years while consistently expanding their asset base and strengthening shareholder value.
Falade thanked the board, employees, partners and shareholders for their continued confidence in the company, pledging that management would remain focused on disciplined execution, prudent investment decisions and sustainable growth.
Expanding Across Nigeria’s Energy Value Chain
Aradel said it remains committed to broadening its presence across Nigeria’s energy industry through strategic investments and operational expansion.
The company believes its enlarged asset portfolio and integrated operating model provide a strong platform for future growth as demand for reliable energy continues to evolve.
Management also emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards of corporate governance and operational efficiency while pursuing new opportunities within the sector.
Positioned for the Next Phase of Growth
The AGM comes as Aradel continues to build on recent financial successes, including strong earnings performance and strategic acquisitions that have strengthened its position among Nigeria’s leading indigenous energy companies.
Industry analysts say the company’s focus on expanding reserves, increasing production and enhancing operational efficiency places it in a favourable position to capitalise on opportunities within the country’s evolving oil and gas landscape.
As Aradel enters its fourth decade of operations, management says its priorities remain centred on disciplined growth, value creation and contributing to Nigeria’s long-term energy development while delivering sustainable returns to shareholders.
