Nigerians now have direct access to a wider range of premium computing and consumer technology products following the opening of ASUS’ first flagship experience store in West Africa, launched in partnership with Konga.
The new facility, located in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, was officially commissioned by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, in a development the government described as a boost to Nigeria’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
Flagship Store Brings Latest ASUS Technology Closer to Consumers
The experience centre is designed to provide customers with access to authentic ASUS products, including premium laptops, gaming systems, AI-powered personal computers and other technology devices.
Beyond conventional retail, the facility features an interactive digital display that allows visitors to explore ASUS technologies virtually before making purchasing decisions.
The initiative is expected to give Nigerian consumers a more immersive way to assess new devices while strengthening access to products from a major global technology brand.
One-Year Replacement Warranty Included
Consumers purchasing ASUS devices from the new experience centre or through Konga’s online platform will also receive a one-year replacement warranty at no additional cost.
The warranty offering is aimed at providing additional assurance to customers and strengthening confidence in the purchase of genuine devices.
Minister: Centre Signals Confidence in Nigeria’s Digital Economy
Speaking at the commissioning, Minister Kingsley Udeh described the facility as more than a retail outlet, saying it represents growing confidence in Nigeria’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
According to the minister, the centre provides a link between global technology manufacturers and Nigerian consumers while supporting the country’s broader digital-economy ambitions.
Udeh also stressed the importance of stronger collaboration between government and private-sector businesses, describing such partnerships as necessary to achieving Nigeria’s ambition of building a $1 trillion economy driven by enterprise and enabled by government.
Leo Stan Ekeh to Lead Youth Innovation Initiative
The minister also recognised Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Group, for his contribution to Nigeria’s technology industry over several decades.
Udeh announced that Ekeh would champion the Federal Government’s Youth and Students in Innovation initiative, which is intended to equip young Nigerians with technology and entrepreneurship skills.
The appointment adds a broader developmental dimension to the ASUS launch, linking the expansion of technology retail and access with efforts to strengthen the country’s pipeline of young innovators.
A New Chapter for Nigeria’s Consumer Technology Market
The opening of ASUS’ West African flagship experience centre comes as demand for more advanced computing devices continues to grow alongside Nigeria’s expanding digital economy.
