Accuracy & Corrections
Our reporters are trained to gather information responsibly—fact-checked, properly sourced, and obtained through ethical and legal means. Every piece of content is expected to reflect truth, clarity, and context.
We attribute information, avoid plagiarism, and verify facts from multiple reliable sources before publishing. However, in the rare event that an error slips through, we promptly correct it and clearly communicate the change to our readers.

Take-down Policy
We do not take down published stories. Once an article is live, it reflects the editorial judgment of our newsroom based on facts and thorough vetting.
If there’s a factual error, we’ll correct it transparently—but stories are not removed unless there are exceptional legal or ethical reasons, evaluated by the editorial board.
Source Credibility & Anonymity
We believe in accountability—so we attribute quotes and facts to fully named sources whenever possible. Anonymity is granted only when a source’s safety, job, or livelihood is at serious risk.
Reporters must rigorously assess a source’s motives, document off-the-record agreements, and never allow anonymity to be used to spread unverified or malicious claims. When anonymity is granted, readers will be given enough context to evaluate the credibility of the source.
Fair & Balanced Reporting

Outside Work & Contributor Guidelines
Staff writers and editors may not publish similar content with competitors or other media outlets unless granted written approval from the editorial director.
Freelancers commissioned by TechReporters NG are also restricted from reselling commissioned work elsewhere, except with prior agreement.
Speaking Engagements
Editorial staff are encouraged to speak at tech events, podcasts, and panels to represent TechReporters NG—as long as their participation aligns with our values and editorial mission. Prior notification to direct managers is required.
